 Demi Lune Table
It is not often I get to collaborate on a piece of my furniture. However, having designed and fabricated the ironwork for this piece I then had to go to an engineer friend in order to have it welded. From there I completed it. First by grinding smooth the welds, (not that they were in anyway rough!) After painting etc. I made and fitted the woodwork. The curved apron is laminated from one piece of 54mm thick quarter sawn Oak ripped into 2mm strips and glued back together on a former. The finish is my usual Bee’s wax in Terpentine.
